Kurt Hovelijnck, former professional cyclist, suffered a serious crash during a training session in 2009 and was taken to the hospital under police escort thanks to the quick help of his colleague Wouter Weylandt. Kris Boeckmans, former professional cyclist, was severely injured in the Vuelta a España, spent some time in an induced coma, and underwent a long rehabilitation afterwards. Glen Saudemont, a police officer and expert by experience, has suffered brain injury himself and works as a community officer promoting cycling safety. In addition, a young person who sustained a brain injury in a cycling accident shares their story.
